Bowersdale Resource Day Centre Bingo Night a BIG success!

BRC staff hosted a very successful bingo fundraising event on Saturday 11^th Feb which raised an amazing £1060!  These funds will be used to take our BRC service users on a residential weekend away together; something service users have always hoped to do but unfortunately due to financial restrictions it’s only ever been discussed. Now we are able to start making plans to make it happen and give service users lifelong memories.

This was a public event with 10 games of bingo, consisting of 9 prize rounds and 1 cash round at the end. In-between games we had 2 additional £1.00 flash bingo games, where the winner won half of the takings and the BRC kept half for the fundraiser. We also had a raffle for a 15 inch digital photo frame worth over £100, which one of our lovely service users won, Congratulations Dawn!

The evening welcomed in around 60 people who all had a fabulous evening fundraising for our much needed cause.

We sold chicken curry and hotdogs on the night which were very popular as well as cans of beer, cider, wine and vodka.  We made the evening as lively as possible with music on intervals to offer an upbeat atmosphere while everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.

This evening wouldn’t have been possible without all the extremely generous individuals and businesses who donated to us for prizes. We would like to thank each and every person and business for their kindness and express how much their help made our evening as successful as it was. Also, a massive thank you to all our volunteers who helped out on the evening, we really appreciate your time!
