Learning Disability Week June15th-21st

Learning Disability Week is an annual UK event taking place next week-  June 15 to 21, 2026. Led by the charity Mencap, the 2026 theme is “Do you see me?”. It is all about celebrating the achievements of people with a learning disability, being seen, heard and valued, along with challenging societal barriers. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARL! Carl celebrated his 60th Birthday last week! He had a fun packed couple of days. He went to see the new Michael Jackson film at the cinema and had a lovely day out at the Docks. Carl also visited the Beatles Museum and had some food on the Street Food Diner Bus, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARL!

BRC- Pottery Painting

Pottery Painting We had a wonderful time at our World Mental Health pottery‑painting session on Wednesday 13th May at the Bowersdale Centre. With support from Jan at Crafty Jan Pottery, 11 staff and service users enjoyed a calming two‑hour workshop filled with creativity, conversation, and mindful music. Everyone designed their own pottery plaque featuring the BRC- Pottery Painting

Our second annual Staff Awards took place on Wednesday 13th May 2026, as part of our Mental Health Awareness Week events. Our Awards event was held once again at the beautiful Grand in Southport. Mental Health Awareness Week 2026

Next Week, Monday 11th- Sunday 17th May is National Mental Health Awareness Week. The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 is “Action”, led by the Mental Health Foundation. This theme moves beyond awareness to encourage practical steps for better mental health for ourselves, others, and society. The focus is on taking action to prevent Mental Health Awareness Week 2026

Joe’s Liverpool Day Out!

Joe has had a lovely outing in Liverpool with Bal. They visited an upside down house, Saw The Beatles, admired the docks and went to the Odeon cinema to watch a film. Looks like a great day Joe.
