December at The Bowersdale Resource Centre

We kicked off December with Jerryann and Kevin braving the cold on a freezing Sunday morning running the streets of Liverpool in the famous Santa Dash raising funds towards the next day trip to Llandudno they raised a fantastic £553.50.

Big Thanks to them both and all who supported them.

December was all about the Christmas festivities at The Bowersdale Centre.  Both staff and service users got in the Christmas spirit, making and painting our own decorations to take home for family and friends and to decorate the whole centre turning it in to our very own winter wonderland.

We had a very Merry Christmas party which was a great turnout, enjoyed by all our service users some of their family members and staff.  We had visits from Santa himself and some of his Elves who enjoyed spreading the Christmas magic to all who came. Everyone enjoyed singing and dancing and lots of tasty food and drinks.  We finished the party off with a Christmas raffle, with prizes ranging from Gift cards to Alcohol, Chocolates, gift sets and cuddly toys. It was a perfect way to end the party.

We also enjoyed a Christmas bingo which was open to family and friends with fantastic prizes such as Restaurant vouchers, Alcohol gift sets, Perfumes and much more! We raised a fantastic £90 towards a day trip to Llandudno for our service users next year.

Finally we ended the Festivities with a massive sit down 3 course Christmas dinner with a choice of starters, deserts and a massive roast with all the trimmings enjoyed by 28 staff and service users. Finishing off the day with a surprise visit from Santa himself who gave a present to all who came and found time in his busy schedule to have pictures taken with our guests.
