Dementia Action Week 2021

This week is dementia action week and this year during Action week Alzheimer’s Society is calling on the Government to ‘Cure the Care System’.

Underfunding of the care system has left many individuals with dementia and their carers struggling to get the help, advice and support that they need and deserve.  Whilst dementia is not yet curable, the broken care system is.

With the right care and support people living with dementia can have a good quality of life whilst their carer’s and families feel more able to cope with the demands and additional stresses that can often occur when caring for somebody with dementia.
