Fundraising at The BRC!

Service Users and staff at our Bowersdale Resource Day Centre have been busy fundraising for various good causes over the last few weeks!

A Macmillan event raised £197.60

Barry won the raffle -taking home the chocolate cake prize.

Everyone had fun playing themed bingo, a Grease themed disco karaoke and all took part in a hunt to find The Colin the Caterpillar cake.

Our Mental Health Tea and Talk event raised £166.20 for The Mental Health Foundation.

Raffle winners were :

Nick who won the Pascal barbers vouchers as well as a chocolate cake.

Donna who won the wellbeing set – thanks to Simply Vibrant for donating an amazing gift.

On this day, Service users enjoyed playing the guess the cup of tea games, themed quizzes and chatting to one another about their own mental health and coping strategies, as well as their  thoughts and feelings around their diagnosis.

The Bowersdale Resource Centre would like to give special thanks to Simply Vibrant Liverpool, who kindly donated some of their beautiful handmade gifts from their small business shop in Seaforth. Simply Vibrant sells an array of unique gifts made by various small businesses including celestial & crystal jewellery, beautifully designed plant pots, plants, crystal candles, handmade soaps and much more. Their generous donation they gave to us for our World Mental Health Day 2022 raffle, supported us in raising an amazing £166.20 for the Mental Health Foundation, a cause close to our own. Thanks again Simply Vibrant – from all at the BRC.

The Bowersdale Resource Centre would also like to give a massive thank you to one of our service users Nick and his family, for their generous cash donation towards our World Mental Health Day 2022 event. This gave us a huge boost in our fundraiser for the Mental Health Foundation and all of us at the BRC are very grateful for this.
