Liverpool Santa Dash Success!

This year Jerryann, Donna from the BRC, along with Esme (Jerryann’s daughter),  ran the famous Liverpool Santa Dash to raise funds for the Centre. The festive 5k run took place on Sunday 1st December.

Jerryann says;

“Starting off at the Pier Head, we ran through the Royal Albert Dock and onwards into the centre of the city. We did have to make a pit stop at Tesco for water however!

We made it to the snow filled finish line outside the Town Hall in 46 minutes. We were red in the face, and could not wait to take off some layers but we were super proud of our achievement and for getting our medals. Over 8,000 people took part in the event this year raising funds for amazing causes. So far we have raised a total of £730 for the BRC.

Our service users are at the heart of everything we do at the BRC and we are looking forward to organising our next day trip/night away for them with the money that we have raised. Being able to provide opportunities not only has a positive impact on the mental health and wellbeing of our services users, it changes their lives.

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored us, shared our links and raised awareness of what we do. Bring on the next challenge!”

A huge congratulations to Jerryann, Donna and especially to Esme for completing the dash and for their brilliant fundraising efforts. Well done!
