Owls visiting give service users and staff a HOOT!
Service users across our services had a visit from the ‘Bird Man’ in May, with everyone enjoying the event and being able to look at, admire and hold these magnificent birds.
Some even faced their fears with encouragement by being close by and petting them. Everyone enjoyed seeing the Owls close up and enjoyed the unique experience.
Service Users and staff learned a lot of new facts about owls which everyone found very interesting. They guessed how big they are, what they eat and how well they could see and hear etc.
Everyone named the small owl Hedwig because it looked like the owl from the Harry Potter films!
